Spring Chinook Salmon are starting to show up in
the Willamette & Columbia Rivers. In a while they will also be in the Sandy
& Clackamas rivers. I prefer to troll with herring, whole and cut plug, &
prawn's. If that's not working I anchor up & put out the kwikfish lure's.
The Columbia River is open this spring & there is supposed to be a lot of
good fishing.
Spring keeper Sturgeon has been good & will only get better as the
Willamette and Columbia rivers warm up a little. The best bite has been on
fresh smelt for the few of us who were lucky enough to get some. I look
forward to taking you fishing. Please email me or call if I can help or
answer any question's. Thanks!

Fishing for sturgeon on the Willamette and
Columbia River has been getting better as the water is warming up here in
the Portland and Vancouver area. Sand shrimp and smelt have been what they
seem to be biting best. The Sturgeon fishing will only get better as the
season goes on. Winter Steelhead fishing has started happening in the
Tillamook bay rivers like the Wilson and Nestucca. Pulling plug's and side
drifting bait like shrimp or salmon eggs has been producing the most
steelhead. In the Portland area the Sandy and Clackamas rivers, fish are
starting to show up and will continue through the spring. Good luck fishing
and have a Merry Christmas.

I'm fall CHINOOK SALMON & COHO fishing at
Tillamook Bay less than 2 hours west of Portland, Oregon. The ocean has been
too rough to get out on lately. The Salmon fishing has been picking up in
the Ghost Hole & the other Channels in Tillamook Bay. Trolling Herring has
been the best bet - cut plugged & whole. The SALMON run in Tillamook bay
should go clear through the month of November. I am also booking winter
keeper STURGEON trips. GET YOUR RESERVATIONS IN NOW & GOOD LUCK! LETS GO

I'm currently fishing for Giant Sturgeon in
the Columbia River Gorge east of Portland about 18 miles. They range in size
from 5' to 14' with some even bigger. The best bait is Shad which migrate up
the Columbia River each year. I'm also Walleye fishing & with many trophy
fish out there its always fun to catch the big ones. The best method for me
has been trolling bottom Walker's with a worm. The Buoy 10 fishery opens
August 22nd through September 2nd. We generally do very well for the Coho &
Chinook Salmon trolling Herring. After September 2nd I'm back in Portland
fishing for the Upriver Bright Chinook Salmon where we fish with Kwikfish &
Wobbler's. Good luck & I hope to take you fishing.

It's almost June & I will be fishing for the
keeper size sturgeon 45 to 60 inches long at the Estuary in Astoria Oregon.
The best bait are sand shrimp, anchovies, & smelt. These fish are very good
fighters & I use very light tackle. I will also be fishing for summer
steelhead & the June hog salmon run in the Columbia River Gorge. I anchor
for these with spinner's & sardine wrapped KwikFish. Bring a camera because
the scenery is beautiful. I hope you can make it out & go fishing with me.
Thanks for listening & let's go fishing.

April 17, 2007
The Willamette River Spring Chinook Salmon run
of fish has arrived a little later this year than in past years. Look to the
later part of April which may be very good for salmon fishing. The best
methods have been trolling herring or prawns or anchored up with Kwikfish.
We Also have sturgeon fishing if the salmon aren't cooperating. In June I'll
be fishing near Astoria for the keeper size sturgeon with lots of action.
Also the Buoy 10 Chinook Salmon season goes from August 22nd through
September 4th & that will book up fast. I still have some openings.

The Salmon are biting on the Columbia now. The
best bite has been on herring whole or cut plug. The salmon run was updated
this week so we will have a good season. Sturgeon fishing has been good
lately on the Willamette & the Columbia rivers. The best bait has been fresh
herring if you have it.

The river's have dropped from the high levels
we had a few weeks ago. Steelhead fishing has been good in the local rivers
with pulling plugs, drift fishing, sand shrimp, salmon eggs, bobber, &
jig's. I look to February to be some great steelheading. The smelt have
arrived in the Columbia - not a lot but enough that I got my year's worth.
Naturally fresh smelt is the bait of choice. Enjoy Life and Lets Go Fishing.

It is December & I have been fishing for
Winter Steelhead & Sturgeon. The Winter Steelhead are starting to show up &
I will fish for those through March. I drift fish for Steelhead with Shrimp
& Salmon eggs. I also pull plugs or diver & bait plus jig jig's for them
it's always a good time. Also I am Sturgeon fishing in the Willamette &
Columbia Rivers where Smelt & Shrimp have been having the most success. The
rivers have lowered from the last high water we had & fishing has gotten
better. I fish the year round for Sturgeon. Happy Holidays & enjoy life!

Currently I'm fishing Buoy
10 in the Astoria, Oregon area. The best baits
have been Herring & the use of spinners, of which on some days Herring works
best & on other days red & white spinners are great. The best bites seem to
be during the tidal changes. We are catching Coho & Chinook Salmon. I will
be back in the Portland, Oregon area after Labor Day to fish for Up River
Brights. At the end of September I will be fishing in Tillamook Bay. GOOD
LUCK fishing! |

I'm fishing the Columbia
River for Salmon & Sturgeon. In the Portland area I have been fishing the
Bonneville area. The Shad are running & that has been the best bait for the
Giant Sturgeon & the Keeper size of 42" to 60". I have also been fishing for
Salmon in the Bonneville area. The best baits have been sardine wrapped
Kwikfish & spinners. At Astoria Sturgeon has been great. The best baits
there have been Anchovies, Shrimp, & Smelt. I hope to see all my friends out
on the water. 'Till then, good luck fishing! |

The Spring Chinook Salmon
have started to show up in the Columbia & Willamette Rivers. Trolling with
Herring & Prawns have been best. When we’re not trolling we have been
anchored with Kwikfish lures wrapped with Sardines. Sturgeon fishing has
been better in the Willamette River although the Columbia is slowly warming
up & will get really good in April like it always does. Fresh Smelt has been
the best bait for those of us who were lucky enough to get some the first
day of Spring. I hope to see all my friends out on the water & make all my
customers HAPPY FISHERMEN! Thanks! |
